Lazy

The slacker bug has hit again and i think i wont be going home today. Am currently in hostel, was suppose to come back after lesson, clean a bit and pack up and go home, but i think i will be staying...

After all, no one is free to go with me to the flower festival at Sentosa tmr so why bother? *sulks* Besides, i'm slpy and its not like i dun have work to do. If i go home, my dad and sis will kick me ard like a football when i need to use comp (we have two comps at home and they each took one while i moved into hostel, so nice of u ppl), then end up saying i have my laptop at hostel anyway. Like hello? Like you mention, its at hostel, what am i supposed to do when i need to use the comp while at home then? Oh well, i am graduating soon, and my sis, who is waiting for 'A's result, will get the same stunt pulled on her after she moves into hostel. ;p

sigh.... k, stop slacking and blogging all this rubbish and go do something productive. To my fellow classmates: Jiayou! We got lots of stuff to hand up next week.

A Balanced Diet

Must be the hardest thing to do in the world, especially when u dun cook.

Taken from health promotion board website regarding what u shd eat per day:
5-7 servings of rice and alternative
2 servings of fruit
2 servings of veg
2-3 servings of meat and alternatives, and one of the servings must be the alternatives (like egg, milk, cheese or tofu). they say 3 eggs make one serving, but u're advise not to eat more than 4 egg yolks a week.

Just thinking about following their advice makes me feel as if i trying to turn vegetarian. I dun have anything against vegetarians, but i dun want to be one, i enjoy eating meat. The fruit bit is going to be tough. Dun have the habit of eating even one serving per day. I did try... on and off... and cut fruits are easy to get at hostel. But must watch sugar intake oso and i dun feel like cutting down on coffee and tea. sigh.... tho i probably shd. They didnt make suggestion abt caffine intake either, so not helpful.

Hmm.... i wonder how much yohgurt makes up a serving... but eating that will mean taking a serving of meat.

Sigh.... i give up.... try again next time.

Frustated

Yes, I bloody well know that I am full of faults. God forbid if I even dare assume I am close to the average person. I am probably just a line away from being totally useless. There! Happy?

Even so, dun start a conversation pointing out my numerous faults, comparing me to a bunch of strangers who i have no idea who, then leave me hangging and waiting for ur next reply. Shit! I know you are pissed off but so am I and I wasnt the one who started it!!! And I only mentioned one thing i not happy about, what do you have to be pissed off about? My negative attitude? My excuses? Like you dun have the very same attitude, thanx a lot. How positive an attitude is ignoring me anyway. If you have to go off in the middle of an msn convo, how long does it take to type a "brb" before you leave anyway!!!!

You want to list my faults? fine! I'll do it for you.

1) obvious enuf, i curse when i am angry. tho i usually avoid using vulgarities.
2) I have a bloody short tempered and am super oversensitive. especially when compared to my exccessively dense bf.
3) i am absolutely undomesticated. Its a miracle my hostel is clean and tidy enuf for a human being. And i cant cook to save myself from straving. unless instant noodles at every meal works.
4) I am ppl shy and have absolutely no idea how to mingle.
5) I have no idea how to keep friends. I can count the number of old friends i have and am still in contact with with my hands.
6) I'm fat and lazy to excerise and have unhealthy dietary habits.
7) I'm stupid and lack common sense. When i teach i'll probably drive students crazy cas they are all smarter than me.
8) I'm pessimistic, negative and lack confidence and totally not living up to my bright and sunny name.
9) The older i am, the easier i cry. Even tho i know its a bloody waste of time and it doesnt solve anything. In fact, it probs make things worse as i have less time to fix it.
10) I am out of touch with the world. Dun like news, dun even like reality, will be happy to move right into one of my fantasy novels. I will prob be even more useless in their worlds, but at least it i'm surrounded by mythical non-humans and magic i might be a bit happier. who noes, maybe i'll have magic powers there, since im fair useless at anything here so i'm not even equipped to survive in this world.
11) I'm spoilt and pampered cost i nv really needed to support myself, tho i have tried to save and be reponsible for most of my own expenses since i started working. and trying to learn to do my share of household chores since i moved to hostel ( yes, i noe, ironic, isnt it?).

God save me from myself, cas i'll probably cause my own downfall more than anything else. Starting by publishing this post. But there, u see? U're already reading it. Wat the heck. I pushed, now let the roll downhill begin.

Me thinks too much...

A new yr, a new sem. But same old person with a head full of rubbish...

First day of sch. It ended with difficult hmk. I really shd be trying harder on my hmk. Sianz... I see notes i wanna slp. Besides... i got other stuff on my mind.

A new yr, a new start. But same old person with same old insecurities...

Am quite comfortable being same old me but am nv really happy with myself. Just like in the past. I really dun have much to be unhappy abt. But i feel like i getting more pestimistic as days, months and yrs go by... I am so not living up to my name.

I want to be the happy girl of my childhood again, who doesnt worry that she is fat or cares whether she looks gd. I wore the icky old fashioned thick rimmed black plastic specs happily and without being concerned that i looked like a nerd.

I want to be the contented dreamy teen who is sastisfied with life as long as she has books to read. I still escape by reading, but somehow, its either not working as well, or as i grow older, i am rooted to firmly in reality and life to be able to escape. I'm going to graduate and start work soon. Must be a responsible adult, handle my own stuff, and not hide in a corner and hopes watever it is goes away.

I want to be the junior college student who was surprised at how lucky she was to have her feelings requitted and roped into leadership position in the club. I want to taste confidence and sastifaction i had gained, when i managed to do my job tho i wasnt sure i was cut out to be in a position to lead, and once again to obtain the determination to do a better job in life than i managed b4.

I want to regain the passion i felt for teaching when i was doing relief, and the determination to grit my teeth to do my best tho its not a bed of roses.

A new yr, a new start. But thru all these yrs i've never really changed...

I am still the same loner character that stand at the edge of things, who never lets herself get too close.

Why do ppl make new yr resolutions anyway? Through all these years, i could nv stick to them. Let me wallow in my new yr laments and live my life as i have before. Caz no matter what u do, no matter how u live, life still passes u by whether u run or walk or stand still... So i shall continue my own half-hearted crawl with its spotaneos sprints, and let life decide whether it wants to place potholes, road bumps or grant me a even and nicely paved path.

Pawnshop No. 8 episode 11

Am watching this taiwan drama called pawnshop no. 8. Its a pawnshop which allows to pawn anything, in order to recieve anything. You can pawn body parts to get money, intelligence to get love, ur health so that the one u love can be healthy.

In this particular episode, a computer genius pawns his genius for the ability to understand what his wife is thinking, in an attempt to salvage his marriage. They have been married for 3 years, but he keeps neglecting her for work, and his wife finally lost it when she miscarriage.

But as the show proceeds on, u realise that although he can understand what she is thinking, he doesnt really understands her. He noes what she likes, but not why she likes it. He noes what she wants, but doesnt get why she wants its. For example, the wife wants to go for high tea, shopping, then dinner. So he suggests the plan as if its his own in order to gain favour, however, the main issue is that she doesnt remember what he likes to eat anymore, since he eats at home so seldom. And he does nothing to remedy it. He accompanys her to high tea, but he doesnt appreciate the tea at all, and starts ordering soft drinks. He asks his wife why she likes it, but doesnt wait for an answer.

For a relationship to work, a couple really have to work hard to understand each other. Not just the likes and dislikes, but also the reasons behind it. If one party has to keep giving in, its not going to go well. Everyone has their limits, if one person gives in all the time, that limit will be reached very soon. If both of they are willing to compromise and take turns to give in to one another, then neither of them will feel pressured in an relationship. The stress doesnt build up that fast, and understanding will allow a couple to tolerate differences better.

The key to this, is communication. A couple has to talk things out. They have to try their best to understand why their partner doesnt like it when they do something. For example, the wife doesnt really hates his genius or his work. What his wife really hates, is the fact that he is so engrossed, he drops her and keeps her waiting, forgets impt days, and is not ard when she found out that she's pregnant and when she miscarriages. He found out everything too late. On his side, he thinks a married couple has all the time they want to work things out and spend time together in the future, like at some vague pt when he retires, after all marriage is for life, right? Pls lor, u dun have time to show her concern, to find out how she spends her days, who her friends are, wat she likes to do and dun attempt to understand why she likes them, who is going to stay with u for life?

I find the husband to be an big idiot, to expect his wife to understand when he doesnt go home for three days without telling her anything and being uncontactable throughout that whole time. Who wouldnt have blown their top? Unless they do not care for their husbands at all.

So many factors can affect a relationship. But truly, love is not enuf to sustain a relationship, i not even talking abt money issues here, i am talking abt truly understanding the person u love. Its hard. There are always things that u cannot understand and issues that u will both be stubborn about. A couple must always remember to place their relationship at first place, and be willing to work out differences for the sake of their relationship.

Taken from episode 12: 爱情,不是婚姻的全部,只是开启婚姻的一把钥匙。婚姻,也是信任、了解、依赖、关怀,和无限的牺牲奉献。
